Description
Why This Mukhkantivardhak Facepack?
When queens of India prepared for festive occasions or sacred rituals, they turned to simple yet potent herbal packs that left their skin glowing—naturally. The MukhKantivardhak Facepack is a revival of that timeless preparation.
The Mukhkantivardhak Face Pack feels like something that belongs to a slower, quieter world. The moment you touch it, there’s this soft, earthy texture that almost reminds you of older times — when beauty didn’t rush and everything was done with intention.
When it goes on the skin, it settles in gently. There’s a calmness to it… like your face finally gets a minute to breathe. As it starts to dry, you feel that slight, familiar tightening — the kind that comes with traditional ubtans, the kind that somehow makes you feel a little more put together.
Rinsing it off is honestly the best part. Your skin looks a bit brighter, feels smoother, and there’s this natural, rested glow — not a cosmetic shine, not a “product glow,” but something softer. Something that feels like you, just more refreshed.
It’s the sort of ritual you reach for on days when your skin looks tired or when you feel tired. Nothing dramatic happens — but every time you use it, there’s this quiet improvement that keeps you coming back to it. A small, luxurious pause in the middle of everyday life.
Ingredients
Ingredients
Jau (Barley)
Jau has a very calm, grounding presence in Ayurvedic skincare. It’s naturally light (laghu), and there’s a soft dryness (ruksha guna) to it that helps the skin feel less weighed down. When mixed into a face pack, Jau behaves like a gentle exfoliator — the kind that quietly removes dullness without being harsh. It leaves the skin feeling fresh, cleaner, and a little more awake, just as traditional ubtans were meant to.
Mulethi (Licorice)
Mulethi carries a sweetness in its nature (madhura rasa) and a cooling temperament (sheeta virya) that the skin can actually feel. Ayurveda often places it under varnya and tvachya actions because it supports a soft, even look to the complexion. When you apply a pack with Mulethi in it, there’s a certain calm it brings — the skin feels soothed, settled, and visibly more at ease after rinsing.
Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa)
Lodhra has that unmistakable astringent quality (kashaya rasa) that gives the skin a light, reassuring firmness as the pack begins to dry. In Ayurveda, it’s known for supporting tvacha sthirata — helping the skin feel held together, tighter, and refreshed. It gently tones oily or tired-looking skin without stripping it, offering a clean, lifted feel that is characteristic of classical beauty pastes.
